On the bench | MBW 373HX repair
Our Laboratory Engineer Jake spent time this week fault tracing and repairing this MBW 373HX.
This MBW 373HX arrived at Qrometric in need of repair. The heated hose control unit was diagnosed as having a fault. The heated hose control unit is bonded in two halves, it took a significant amount of encouragement to split open. Once inside, Jake tested these sensors and established which was faulty. He decided to swap them all to minimise the chance of further failures.

He sourced replacement parts, used new wire and soldered together the four sensors. He then reassembled the control unit and fitted it back into the instrument. Jake also found a poor solder joint in need of repair whilst checking the pcb.
After thorough testing it was shipped back to the end user.
