G3 two pressure low humidity generator installed

It’s been exciting to integrate our brand-new RH Systems G3 two pressure low humidity generator into our lab here in Brighton.  It expands our dew-frost point-moisture capability and enables us to substantially increase our throughput to meet the increased demand for moisture analyser testing and ISO17025 accredited calibration services.

Vacuum isolated condensing saturator eliminates water diffusion

The G3 is a patented low humidity generator based on a vacuum isolated condensing saturator.  The vacuum has two key functions; to thermally isolate the saturator to prevent condensation on components that are cooled to cryogenic temperatures, and to eliminate water diffusion into the system that typically result in errors in the generated moisture value.

Moisture as low as 1 ppb

The G3 can generate -120 °C frost point, (-124 °C dew point) and moisture as low as 1 ppb (0.0001 part per million) effectively enabling us to calibrate any moisture analyser – particularly those deployed in hyper-sensitive environments like semiconductor manufacturing and speciality gases.

One of only two G3’s deployed in Europe

This is one of only two G3’s deployed in Europe so far, and is part of Qrometric’s continued commitment to delivering the highest possible calibration and measurement capabilities.

Technical Director, Ned Hawes, seen below with the G3, says: “The G3 will gives us faster, simultaneous calibration of multiple instruments, and is the perfect laboratory-based complement to our FPG onsite capabilities. From an R&D perspective, it will enable us to thoroughly assess instruments from new suppliers, before we support them in the global market.”
